At pick up, our towing specialist will issue a receipt at the time of pick-up which is a release of liability and confirmation that your motorhome has been picked up. The receipt will indicate your name as well as the year, make, model and condition of the motorhome you are donating.
This is your tax receipt if the sale value of your motorhome does not exceed $500.

Processing your picked up motorhome usually takes around 4 to 6 weeks but in some cases may take longer due to particular state title requirements or title laws.
Once your donation has sold you will be notified by email of the value of your donation. (If you do not have email, you will be notified by mail)
If your motorhome sells for more than $500 your receipt will be for the sale amount. Otherwise, you can claim the fair market value of your vehicle up to $500.

Do you accept abandoned motorhomes?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept abandoned motorhomes.
Contact your local police to list the motorhome as abandoned or find out if a local junkyard can pick it up.

Can I donate motorhomes whose owner passed away?

We can accept the motorhome if you have a copy of the death certificate and documentation that you are the official inheritor of the deceased’s vehicle.

Is there any expense involved on my part, like towing charges or smog check?

No, there is absolutely no cost to you for the motorhome pick up, towing, or donation processing, and we also take care of all DMV paperwork.

What paperwork do I need to donate my motorhome?

Most states require that you have a clear title to the motorhome; some states also require a notarized signature to complete a donation.
If your state requires a notary to sign the document, do not sign the title until you are in the presence of the notary.
If you cannot locate or have lost the Certificate of Title, we can help you obtain the proper documentation.

What if I don't have the title for my motorhome?

Do I need a smog certificate or safety inspection in order to donate my motorhome?

Per IRS Publication 561:

‣ If the donated vehicle is sold for less than $500, you can claim the fair market value up to $500.
‣ If it sells for more than $500, you can claim the amount for which the vehicle is sold.

How do you determine the value of my motorhome for tax purposes?

Your motorhome donations to an IRS approved 501(c)(3) charity is tax-deductible as follows:

For vehicles sold for under $500, you can claim the fair market value up to $500.00 without any additional paperwork.
The preliminary tax receipt will be mailed after the vehicle has been confirmed picked up.

If the gross proceeds for the sale of your donated motorhome exceed $500.00, your deduction will be limited to the actual sale price.
We will provide you with a receipt stating the final sales price of your vehicle within 30 days of its sale.

We do all we can to maximize the selling price of your car. This way you can get a larger tax write off and more funds go back to our veterans.
